About me

I am passionate about promoting the views of service users and ensuring they have full information on which to base choices. I am also keen to ensure that everyone involved in supporting a service user to maintain well-being should also have access to full information about what is available to do that. I am now working with Canterbury Christ Church College to contribute to the training of future, community-based nurses and as part of that work, to ensure they are fully aware of what is available outside of statutory provided services to add to the enjoyment of life for those who use any services.

About my work

I have been working as a volunteer and paid worker in mental health for over 20 years, and specifically in Kent for the last 13 years. My main focus within the work I have done and continue to do is to promote the views of those who use services.

My role as a broker will be to help you to voice your ideas about what would make your daily life better - to suggest options to explore to achieve your aims, and to help you turn your conclusions and decisions into a written plan - always being realistic but imaginative and creative!
